Painted Tiger
(AIHR O-3732 / HOA 1708 / SSMA )
A golden dun paint with a heart of gold, and the first paint ever to come along in the Tiger Eye line. Why not take a look at how he's bred? Born in May of 2000, this handsome fella is by El Tigre Segundo out of Medicine Zuni. You'll see right off that he's bred to be tough as nails.
His large soft eyes and loving attitude will make you think he's a gelding - but he's not. Tiger stands 14 1/2 hands and seems to throw some of that height on to his offspring. We started working him in the lunge pen when he was just a colt, so we weren't worried about saddling him up and going for that first ride. However, because of the problems that life throws at us, it was decided that Tiger would go to Mr. Weatherhead, a good friend of the family's who does excellent training.

Mr. Weatherhead had Tiger riding sweetly in no time....even had him trained to ride in a halter. Can you believe it? A stallion being ridden with a halter around other horses?
Tiger's been quite a lady's man, giving us such great foals as One Flashy Choctaw's first foal Princess Fergie, a fetching little paint filly out of Cheyenne that's been named Hey There Delilah. And who can forget the big gentle gelding out of Lil Bit named Lil Chipotle? Oh....almost forget his 2006 little one out of Layla.
Busy as Susan is, she still tries to find time to take Tiger out and let get some exercise. Don't get me wrong, his pen is PLENTY big enough....but you know how horses like to get out and about whenever possible. Tiger is no exeption, enjoying the time that he and his human spend together...whether it's riding the creeks and trails or just 'hanging out'.
A great stallion that throws good height, sweet attitude, lots of brains and even sometimes a paint gene or two to his offspring. We hope that you will take that into consideration the next time that you're looking for a stallion to breed with your favorite mares. There's nothing more that can be said about this wonderful stallion.....just take a look at his pedigree and his bloodlines should speak for themselves.
