          In the fall of 2002, Karma Farms gave us the opportunity to purchase one of the best mares around. Needless to say, Kiowa Windsong was welcomed to the ranch with open arms. Heck, even Buttons was excited about having this mare on the place!

           Wendy's such a sweetheart that we just had to have her. Why you ask? Well, not only is she the mother to one of our best stallions that we've found, Northern Song, she's also sister to such great horses as No Myth, Tamborine Man and our very own White Wing Dove.

           A proven broodmare who has produced some outstanding riding horses, Wendy's offspring and grandoffspring are excelling in a variety of disciplines including: dressage (Catch the Wind), bareback and western pleasure, barrels and halter (Northern Song, a.ka. "Cajun"), 4-H, Western Pleasure, driving and trail riding (Pearl of the Quarter), and English, Western pleasure, cutting and trail riding, grandson (Whispering Wind). The above foals are champagne dun, yellow dun, champagne tobiano, and amber champagne dun in color from a variety of stallions.

          Gentle as a lamb, with a great attitude to match, Wendy's one of a kind. She's got the look and conformation that many would die for.....I guess that's why I fell in love with her the first time I ever saw her. She just seems to have a wonderful outlook on life, and best of all she makes friends easily....especially if you've got a food bucket in your hand.

          A sweet mare that's easy to catch and always coming up to be petted and perhaps a few horse cookies while she's there), Wendy loves being brushed and fussed over. She will stand quietly while tied, leads, trims, washes, loads and trailers well. Gently broke to ride bareback years ago by the crew at Karma Farms, now days she just hangs around, being a brood mare and momma to all the weanlings.
